The end of the year marked Stettler Supply Co’s successful completion of yet another project here at the District’s Durham Plant.  This partnership started with your work in 2006 on the Odor Control Improvements project and has evolved through several Aeration Basin modification projects, the conversion of the old influent pump station into the Struvite Recovery Facility, and most recently the Filter 1-4 rehabilitation project.  These have all been complicated process/mechanical projects with varying amounts of structural work in an operating facility that required close coordination between your forces and the plant’s operations and maintenance staffs.  Any necessary plant process shutdowns and bypassing have all been accomplished with minimum disruption to operations thanks to your high level of planning, cooperation with District staff, and efficient execution.

From the District’s engineering and management perspectives, each project has also been a pleasure to implement.  Your quality workmanship and willingness to “partner” for the sake of the project has been exemplary, and is too rare in the industry today.  It is a pleasure to work together with a contractor to quickly and fairly resolve the inevitable issues that come up particularly in such difficult rehabilitation/modification projects as these have been.  Your staff has also been very helpful in making value engineering suggestions on scoped work, as well as providing advice on peripheral matters that ultimately benefited the plant.

We appreciate the successful relationship Stettler and the District have been able to work under on these projects and look forward to working with you on future projects.  I will definitely keep you informed as future projects approach the bidding phase, and you also will certainly be called upon to quote our smaller plant improvement projects.”

Stettler Supply Co., a northeast Salem business that specializes in water pumps and agricultural irrigation equipment, has been honored by Reinke Manufacturing Inc.

Reinke, a Deshler, Neb.-based manufacturer of mechanized irrigation systems, gave Stettler its Gold Reinke Pride award in recognition of the Salem dealership’s marketing year success in 2008-09.

This year, gold, silver and bronze Reinke Pride awards were given to 90 dealerships. The awards are based on a dealership’s indoor and outdoor displays, merchandising, professionalism, promotions, market share and other achievements.
